SET ON 17 breathtaking acres of oceanfront and rolling farmland, we were asked to design a multi-generational family home that evokes a by-gone era. The main living areas, which surround a courtyard on three sides, flow openly and are oriented to maximize panoramic views and natural light. Rooms are bright, generously proportioned, and well detailed. Natural cedar shingles and Gambrel rooflines combined with substantial stone archways connecting different elements of the house create a home that is graceful and welcoming. Our client’s desire is for their seaside home to serve as a place for family and friends to gather, both formally and informally for years to come.
